A pandemic affects up to 70% of the population within 2 years. In the COVID-19 pandemic, 14% of the cases are severe and 5% are life threatening.
The problem is not the 86% of mild infections. The problem is the number of hospital beds. With an intensive care bed per 10,000 inhabitants, only 0.01% of people are allowed to fall ill at the same time. With COVID-19 up to 9.8% of the people fall seriously ill.
That is almost a thousand times too much.
If we can delay the period of the disease, we can save a few.
