Xi: “Now there are changes that haven’t happened in 100 years. Together we are driving these changes.”
Putin: “I agree.”
Xi: “Please take care of yourself, dear friend.”
Putin: “Have a good trip!”
(Moscow, March 21, 2023 CE)
Future historians will regard Chinese President Xi’s visit to Moscow this week as the most important event of the century so far. It will be marked as the turning point of times. The dominance of the “West” for the last four centuries will be followed by the dominance of the “East” for the next four hundred years. The Age of Western Enlightenment is over. A new era has begun.
Presidents Putin and Xi have signed treaties that will overcome the current Western powers in an unprecedented way. In particular, the establishment of the Chinese yuan as an international currency basis will shape the future world economy to a yet unimaginable extent. Together, China and Russia form an empire greater than any before. With China’s manpower and Russia’s energy, this empire is backed by resources unprecedented in human history. Together they make up about 20% of the world’s population and produce almost 40% of global energy. (The US and EU together account for 10% of the world’s population and produce about 25% of global energy.)
The Sino-Russian empire is unprecedented in human history. Even Genghis Khan’s largest Mongolian empire cannot compete with these dimensions. Shortly before the year 2000, the “Washington Post” named Genghis Khan its “Man of the (last) millennium”. The “Man of the future millennium” could very well be Xi Jinping. Europe is well advised to draw the wisest conclusions from this.
