Coronavirus: The Cost of Human Life

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been faced with the question of how much our health is worth to us. We are evidently forced to pay for our “health” by the “economy”. There is a question hidden behind this which almost nobody dares to ask: How much is a human life worth to us?

Here is the answer:

This graph shows the relationship between corona deaths and economic performance in Europe. The further to the right a country is, the more deaths there are in this country (Covid-19 deaths per hundred thousand inhabitants until February 20, 2021). The higher up a country is, the more costs the pandemic has incurred in this country so far (shrinking GDP per inhabitant in 2020 in US dollars). And the larger the circle, the richer the country country (GDP per inhabitant).
