Yesterday, Thursday, January 28th, 2021, 12-year-old schoolgirl Tina and her younger sister Lea were picked up in the middle of the night by a special police unit, the Vienna emergency group WEGA, and “taken out of the country”. Her only crime was being a “foreigner”.

This action was according to the law.
Foreigners’ Police Act 2005:
7th main piece: Deportation and tolerance
Section 46 (3): “The Federal Office must take all the necessary steps to carry out the deportation as soon as possible, taking into account the circumstances of the individual case. “

Do we really take the circumstances of the individual case sufficiently into account? Do we really want to proceed in this way in Austria? Do we really want that?
Do we really have no other option?
