USA: Trump vs. Biden

In exactly one week the elections for the President of the United States will take place. It’s a choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, a choice between a destroyer and a keeper, a choice between a “no” and a “yes”.

Donald Trump says “no” to consensus democracy and destroys it, Joe Biden says “yes” to the existing system and wants to preserve it. Trump is a lone fighter, Biden is backed by the establishment. Trump has made the republican part of the country compliant, Biden is the servant of the democratic part.

All observers seem to agree that this presidential election is all about Donald Trump. His supporters adore him, his opponents demonize him. This election is, more than ever before, solely a decision about the current president.

In CBS “60 Minutes” journalist Lesley Stahl asks Donald Trump why he acts so aggressively. And Trump replies: “It’s not attack. It’s just defence.” (Minute 28:40) I think that’s the secret. If there was somebody who would hug him and finally show him that someone loved him, we would all be saved a lot.
